Links with the corporate world

The interaction between ESC Lille and the business community is intensive.

For the Business Management Programmes, internships are essential and compulsory each year because they prepare students for their future career in companies and develop essential skills: initiative, anticipation, analysis, negotiation, communication, team building and management, innovation, decision-making, the ability to put things into perspective, getting a transversal approach business and organizations…

First year

The 1st year internship runs from June to September. It is known as the “operational placement”.

Second year

In year 2, students work from May to September (managerial placement).

Third year

At the end of the 3rd year, they spend between 4 and 6 months in a company (final placement).

International internships and Gap year

The second possibility for students to enter a professional environment involves work experience abroad during an internship period and/or the gap year. This is a successful policy, and the number of participants as well as the quality of company placements increases each year.

Career service

Throughout the programme, students meet the professionals of the Careers Service. The Careers Services aim is to facilitate the student’s professional development by means of a series of services, by way of market research, and through the development of local, national, and international corporate relationships. Career counselling, job-seeking techniques, company placements, and job offers are accessible to all ESC Lille students during their studies and for three years after graduation. Then, they can join the ESC Lille Alumni Association, which also provides job offers as well as valuable help and networking.
