At ESC Lille, we put a great emphasis on preparing students for business employment. Whatever your programme choice is, you will be spending about 15 weeks in various companies as interns. You can also take a gap year to gain further experience or choose the coop track (work and study for 2 years).
Since 1996, the School has been offering a coop programme in the 2nd and 3rd years of the MiM programme. Two sections exist, one in Lille and the other in Paris.
The objectives are to develop competences, knowledge and skills necessary in the management of a business by spending alternate weeks in the company and in the school, a formula relying heavily on inductive on-the-job training. It also establishes a durable relationship between the student and the company during the training, and allows the more underprivileged students to study at a major business school since the students are exempt from tuition fees and receive a salary.
To enter this coop track, students must be enrolled in the Master in Management programme and speak French fluently. Application form, interview. Deadline for admission: before the end of June. Entry in September.
Another possibility for students to further their business skills and also enter an international environment involves work experience in France or abroad during a gap year. This is a successful policy, and the number of participants as well as the quality of company placement increases each year. Gap year are usually taken between the 2nd and the final year.
