Teaching strategies

The MBA programme has a 12- to 24- month duration.

The educational rhythm alternates between one week of seminars (one per month) and pre and post course work.

The programme combines a wide range of pedagogical approaches in order to foster the personal and professional development of the participants. They include lectures, on-line support, public speaking, group dynamics, confrontations, and participative methods.

Students work on real-life case studies: newly acquired skills are used to work on real case studies and teams work closely with top management to analyse the industry, company, and specific strategic issues. Then they recommend action plans.

Participants experience the special challenge of entrepreneurship : from its idea to its project implementation. This is the transformation of vision into reality.

MBA students have the opportunity to attend part of the programme abroad. Partnerships exist with Australia (UTS), the United States (UTD and GWU), Canada (UQAM), Norway (NTNU), and Spain (UPV, UZ) (on condition that students have been accepted by the partner university).

Outside of class, students have access to on-line resources such as Claroline, the ESC Lille Course Management System, the ISGI Intranet, the on-line Media Library, the Career Services Intranet, the Alumni Association Internet, the web-based collaboration solution WebOffice and Groove Virtual Office.

ESC Lille has also teamed up with European leader in e-learning solutions Crossknowledge to provide students with a selection of online remote distance learning courses in business and management fundamentals. More than 300 multimedia modules are offered. They are 30 minutes in length and can be taken in either English or French. All of the modules include a built-in evaluation system that allows for measurement of student progress. Among the many courses on offer are: Personal Development, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Project Management.
